What you need		Place one nail on the ground and lay the other nails alternately on it.
Lay the last nail on top of the nails and carefully lift, holding the bottom nail together with the top nail		You will see that the nails are "hooked" between the two nails. Simply rest the setup on the head of the nail embedded in the stump ... and voila ... you have balanced the nails!
